Cookies

Shortbread Cookies

1/2 lb. butter (2 cubes) softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 cups white flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt

Mix butter until fluffy.  Slowly add powdered sugar.  Add in rest of dry ingredients.  Roll dough out on floured surface to 1/4 inch thick - cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters.  Bake on ungreased cookie sheets for 8 to 10 minutes, rotating pans halfway through.  Sprinkle with powdered sugar while warm or frost when cooled.
